Pakistani food near the campus |
Grindelallee 33 Hamburg, Hamburg 20146 Germany +49 (0)40 45 2479 |
The Balutschi on Grindelallee faces the campus. It offers traditional dishes from Pakistan and is popular not just among students. The restaurant looks very inviting from the outside, almost as if taken from a fairy-tale book. Food is either served in the front room with its bright wooden decor, or at the back, where you sit or lie on cushions and dine in an exotic atmosphere. The classic ingredients of many dishes are lamb chops, chickpeas, fruit, vegetables and peanuts, either as a whole or as a paste. The meals are topped with absolutely magic sauces and chutneys containing fresh herbs and secret ingredients. Do not miss the pekoras and salads while you are here. A Tschai rounds off the meal nicely. Review © 2007, Wcities |
