In the Café Solo you almost feel as if you´re in the South because of the Spanish music, Spanish cuisine and Spanish wine - but always with a hint of Central Europe. You can either sit in the light main room or in the dark and comfortable neighbouring room. In good weather can also sit out on the street. The café is mainly frequented by young, female guests, who also like to spend some time browsing through the magazines here.

In addition to tapas and tasty seafood dishes, the recently-opened restaurant offers typical Spanish main courses such as paella, rabbit in garlic and herb sauce and zarzuela with fish and seafood, prepared in an oval earthenware cooking pot. After your meal you can go for a walk around the nearby lake. The interior is decorated in typical Spanish style.

+49 (0)40 491 8121 The Schotthorst is a popular café and à la carte restaurant in Eimsbüttel. It has a lot of nice meals right from breakfast to the evening menu, in a friendly atmosphere. The high ceiling is emphasized by mirrors on the walls, and the place is always busy. During the summer months you can sit outside and watch the street-life whilst enjoying a great meal. On Saturdays there are international breakfasts, and on Sundays a breakfast buffet is available. Those with a sweet tooth will be delighted to try the all-you-can-eat coffee and cake buffet between 3p and 6p. The Spanish tapas in the lunch specials and on the evening menus are also recommended.

This is very hard to believe, since these scrumptious delicacies taste just like they would in Madrid, Barcelona or Seville. Check out the likes of patatas bravas, Chinese mushrooms, chicken liver and fish balls, best of all accompanied by a glass of vino. For a main course, the roast lamb and fillet of fish are particularly recommended. Warm orange and terracotta hues create a pleasant ambience and bring a touch of sunshine even to the darkest Hamburg winter!
