The pizzas here are a regular favorite - known to be the 'best in the country', the pastas too are delicious enough for any Italian food lover. The crowd that comes in is generally a pre-theatre one or then locals looking for a quick and light meal. The sassy decor and the general energy filled atmosphere of the eatery is just one of the reasons for its consistent popularity! Review © 2007, Wcities |

Manee Thai |
Schauenburger Strasse 59 Hamburg, Hamburg 20095 Germany +49 (0)40 333 950 05 http://www.manee-thai.de |
The Manee Thai can be found in the basement floor of a large villa in the beautiful Blankenese district. Exquisite Thai cuisine is available in an exclusive ambience here. Surrounded by orchid arrangements and golden statues of Buddha, dining here is a very pleasant experience. The cuisine at Manee Thai is very sophisticated. They use imported ingredients and spices from Thailand, but prepare meals like satay skewers, lobster and chilli soup or curried chicken to suit European palates - a technique also to be found in the high-class hotel kitchens in Bangkok. Thai food in a basement restaurant |
Taubenstraße 23 Hamburg, Hamburg 20359 Germany +49 (0)40 31 5854 http://www.phuket-stpauli.de/ |
In the middle of lively, multicultural St.Pauli with its many attractions, there is also a pleasant Thai restaurant which is worth a visit. The Phuket Thai restaurant is one of Hamburg´s oldest Thais. It is located in a basement, where you can escape from the bustle of the district into a relaxing Asian atmosphere and enjoy a good meal. Apart from a choice of tasty duck, rabbit, shrimps or beef dishes, the coconut-chicken-soup and the spring roll skewer are firm house favourites. The cooks at Phuket Thai are very careful with their seasonings – but authentic, very hot and spicy. Review © 2007, Wcities |
