This romantic villa was designed by the architect Martin Haller, and is located near the Feenteich. Built in 1868, it has served its new purpose as a guest-house for the Hamburg Senate since 1965. Among the countless dignitaries that have graced the corridors are both Charles de Gaulle and Queen Elizabeth II. All you have to do to reach the Outer lake Alster is cross the street where lots of people like to take a walk with or without their dogs, and where joggers do their rounds.
