This hotel is located in the middle of Finnish pine forests, and it is a perfect choice for those who want to take part in activities ranging from riding to tennis. The hotel has good services, with for instance restaurants and massages. Although Hotel Serena is situated in the midst of nature, it is not too far from the humdrum of the city centre, only 23km. The airport is 15km away. They have three saunas and a smoke sauna by a pond, a beach, a restaurant (with live music Wed-Sat) and a lobby bar. Massages and water treatments are offered. A volleyball court, Serena water park, Serena ski centre, three golf courses, a riding stable and other amenities are near. 16 conference rooms cater for up to 300 delegates.

Serena is the largest heated water park in Europe and it is open year-round. There is a 2000m2 pool area where the climate is almost tropical. There are several pools, water slides and hot tubs plus regular saunas and Turkish steam rooms. In the summertime, the pool area is 1000 m2 larger as the outside part is opened. Refreshments can be bought at the Terrace bar or you can have a meal in cave restaurant Granina. A day ticket (11a-8p) costs EUR13.60, and a ticket for the evening only (4p-8p) is EUR10.20. Under four-year-old children can go for free. Group discounts are given for groups of more than 15 people. In order to receive this discount the group manager has to announce beforehand when the group is coming. The Serena area also includes a hotel, and it offers packages for hotel accommodation at night and a day in the water park.

A wide selection of activities is available at this swimming pool, exercise hall, athletic premises and gym. You can develop your health with massage, physiotherapy or medical gymnastics, and there are also special treatments for seniors. Each of these treatments includes free swimming and sauna. Other areas like conference rooms, solarium, cafeteria or youth premises are also available, and it is possible to book a sauna.

September 1st every year, marks the beginning of the indoor season. Yrjtu Indoor Swimming Pool has traditions to go with its special nature and extravagant architecture—built in 1928, it is the oldest of its kind in Finland. Yrjtu bath has three levels, all of which have their own pools. Please ask the staff about the times (times differ for men and women every day) before rushing in stark naked! These pools are open from September through the end of May, prices and times vary.
