The one and only auto racing track in Honolulu spans over 60 acres. Kart races, rough-and-ready dirt track races and motorcycle races are held here regularly. But the main attraction is Hawaii Raceway Park, where dozens of events are held annually. Drag racing is probably the most popular sport. Also at Raceway Park is the Hawaii International Racing School. Any kind of driver, from timid compact-car owners to near-professional racers, can get on track. Call or check the website for more information on events and classes.

Set in a lush green valley surrounded by fields, orchards and mountains, this is truly a picturesque course. The fairways seem to stretch on forever in endless expanses of green. Prices are surprisingly reasonable, especially on week days. The 71-par championship course was designed by William F. Bell. The country club also features a restaurant, pro shop and shower facility. Equipment is available for rental.

All kinds of excursions can be arranged through this company. Almost every excursion operates as a charter. Dolphin swims, whale watches, sailing charters and snorkel adventures are all available. The company allows a maximum of six passengers on each charter, and the minimum is only two! It's a world apart from the crowded catamaran tours and whale watches offered by many companies. Excursions take place off Oahu's Leeward shore. Call for more information or to get a price quote.
