Hilton Hawaiian Village
Honolulu, HI 96815-1917
United States
+1 808 953 2378
Located in the Rainbow Bazaar section of the Hilton Hawaiian Village , this bookstore is a peaceful, pleasant spot to relax and get out of the sun. It is good-sized, with the majority of the front floor space dedicated to Hawaiian books. Not surprisingly, the newsstand and paperback sections, the two most popular for beach reads, are the next largest, while all of nonfiction is crammed into one section. Children's books are also here in abundance.

Honolulu, HI 96701

Jelly's, located behind a car dealership and within a warehouse district, is Hawaii's haven for comics, books, games, vinyl records, CDs, DVDs, VHS, and more. Card games are played on tables in an upstairs open air loft. Bands occasionally perform on the second level to the customers below. Musical equipment is available for sale in one corner and the selection is amazing. The shelves are filled, from top to bottom, with new and used items. Hobbyists, bookworms, gamers, music lovers, comic collectors, and musicians can all be found roaming the aisles looking for just what they desire, and rarely are they disappointed thanks to a rock solid special order policy. If you're looking for something they don't already have, Jelly's will go to great lengths to try and make it happen, but be careful, first timers should come early as this store is very big and you might be there gazing in awe for hours! -Rex Davidson

While this store may not openly advertise as a Christian bookstore, that's exactly what it is. The selection is fairly extensive and includes fiction and non-fiction. The shop also sells a wide assortment of Christian music, cards and gifts. Other items for sale include knick-knacks, cards, journals, piggy banks and other small gift items. This place is small but very busy, with a client base that spans a broad range of ages.

There are fascinating exhibits on how coral and pearls transform into beautiful jewelry and works of art. Other exhibits showcase endangered plants and birds of the islands, and there's a wonderful area devoted to Hawaii's volcanic past. There is a for-sale area where you can pick up local arts and crafts made from the natural materials of the Hawaiian Islands.

If you're looking for that special edition Batman and Robin or Spiderman comic book, this is the place to go. All the comic books are here, along with an impressive selection of trading cards, t-shirts, collectables, role-playing games and so forth. Video games are also sold, though they're not as popular. This store is tucked away in a quiet corner of the Ward Warehouses. It has the sort of clubhouse-hideaway feel that is common to many gamer hangouts.

Sedona

New-age specialty store
1200 Ala Moana Boulevard
Honolulu, HI 96814
United States
+1 808 591 8010
http://www.sedona-hi.com/
This is the kind of place that's as common as a 'Quik Stop' in places like Sonoma County, Paia or presumably Sedona, Arizona. It offers merchandise for 'personal and spiritual growth' ranging from healing gemstones to meditational CDs to essential oils to books on feng shui. Events are held here regularly, and a rack in the front of the store holds a number of business cards for local psychics and astrologers.
