Aloha Stadium Swap Meet

Enormous bargain hunt
99-500 Salt Lake Blvd
(in the Aloha Stadium)
Honolulu, HI 96818
United States

Odds and ends, bits and pieces, trash and treasure of every description are for sale at this free-for-all in the Aloha Stadium. Hundreds of vendors come to display their wares, and thousands of shoppers descend upon the booths ready to find a bargain. You can buy T-shirts, sarongs, beach towels, jewelry of questionable quality, electronic equipment and every other kind of merchandise imaginable. The entire Stadium fills up with people during these events and an atmosphere of glee can often prevail. Browse, examine, chat up the vendor...maybe you'll find something nifty; maybe you'll just have fun. Haggling is acceptable here, so don't be afraid to ask for a deal.

Maunakea Marketplace

Authentic Chinese bazaar
1120 Maunakea Street
Honolulu, HI 96817
United States
Made up of several dozen ramshackle stalls and about a dozen formal stores, this place is very much of a local hangout. It spans two floors, and is arranged around a sunny courtyard. Crafts, clothes, jewelry and souvenirs are sold cheap at this bazaar. A food court serving such delicacies as roasted goat and pig's feet stew is located inside. While a few brave tourists venture into the dark, pungent room from time to time, the only people that really dine here are locals.
