Hearty sandwiches and scrumptious desserts are the trademark of this popular deli that opened in the Heights in 1989. Excellent catering services are also available. The quaint, old-fashioned interior and the corner location make this deli an ideal rest stop for those who are visiting the nearby shops and galleries. Seating is limited, but the wait for a table usually is not a long one. Take-out is available if you decide you would rather munch while strolling the scenic area instead of waiting for a table. BLT lovers will swoon over the deli's tribute to this lowly sandwich. The New Orleans-inspired Muffaletta, with slices of ham, salami and provolone stacked between two slices of Focaccia and sprinkled with homemade olive dressing, is almost as popular.
