Once you get over the name and appearance of this very unpretentious restaurant, you will fall in love with their delicious menu offerings and convenient hours. This is the ideal spot for dining out with the little ones. There is plenty of child-friendly offerings on the menu and the kids are welcome to write on the tables and walls. If you are hungry but do not want to miss the big game, take a table in the back dining room with its big-screen television, or up front at the sports bar. Although the menu offers some lighter fare, including soups and salads, the emphasis here is on good old comfort food. The crispy chicken-fried steaks, served with seasoned fries and surprisingly good cream gravy, are a menu favorite ($6.50+). If you are especially hungry, try the immense Swiss Mushroom Burger ($3.50+). The servings here are big, so be prepared to take home leftovers.
