Established in 1975, this theater was built to increase Houston's access to broader artistic visions than what was offered at the time. The resident company first met in Autry House, the community center on Main Street (hence the name). After establishing themselves as a strong force in the arts scene, the troupe moved to this new 94-seat theater in 1981. The intimate arrangement of audience and stage makes the theater wonderful for anything from a one-man show to grandiose Shakespeare productions. Call for additional information.
