Dedicated to preserving the memory of Texans who served in the armed forces, the museum displays uniforms, weapons, equipment, vehicles and other memorabilia that dates from World War II to the present. With a proud motto that states, "Get it out of the junkyard and back in the motorpool," the staff specializes in restoring vehicles, field equipment and artillery pieces. You will even see a helicopter when you visit. Definitely stop in if you are interested in war history, but even if you are not, the majesty of the restored machines will capture your attention and keep it.
