This place could easily pass for a hacienda truck stop along a lonely Veracruz motorway. But despite the antiquated look, it serves up some of the best Mexican grub in the city. Plus, as an added bonus, it is open 24 hours, which makes it a popular late night stop, especially after the clubs close. Mariachi bands kick start the evenings and weekends adding a bit of traditional flavor. The tamales are a favorite as is anything with mole. As an oddity to the usual rice and beans side dish, complimentary soup and a fresh fruit dessert are included with every meal.
