This is a small but popular island company with two locations on Kauai. It specializes in high quality beans, which are roasted in a small facility on Lihue. The Kapa'a location offers a cozy, casual atmosphere with plenty of outdoor seating (essential in this tropical climate). Fresh-baked pastries are available daily. "Real food" is served here in addition to mochas and other upscale cafe favorites. This casual spot is a pleasant cross between an espresso bar and restaurant. It caters to a mixed clientele, and the morning menu includes everything from espresso and fresh-baked pastry (a house specialty) to omelets. Local influences are visible in some of the options, while more healthy "California cuisine" is also available.
