Rebuilt after a hurricane all but destroyed its original structure, this breezy Poipu Beach hot spot offers broiler favorites in an informal environment. Outdoor seating provides optimal views, and the clientèle is mixed. The lunch menu includes standard favorites such as hamburgers and pupus. A deli counter is open downstairs, serving salads, sandwiches and an alternating daily special.Dinner is on the pricey side and typically includes steaks and seafood. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Fresh, fabulous sandwiches |
3-2600 Kaumualii Highway # 1005 (Kukui Grove Mall) Kauai, HI 96766 United States +1 808 245 7115 |
As you may have surmised from the cafe's name, the bread here is fresh-baked on the premises. An impressive spread of deli meats and cheeses gives you plenty of sandwich fixings to choose from. Aside from the sandwiches, fresh-made soups are also a specialty. Meal-sized salads (Cobb, baby greens, etc.) and a selection of baked goods are also available. Pastries are best in the morning; pies and cakes can be bought whole or by the slice. Dine in the sparkling clean, deli-style dining room. If you are in the market for top quality appliances, the cafe doubles as a kitchenware store. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Snacks, shakes, munchies |
2-2436 Kaumualii Highway # A2 Kauai, HI 96741 United States http://www.kalaheo.com/ |
This is a popular stop-off on the way to touristy Waimea Canyon and other top destinations. The friendly, small-town cafe opens at dawn and serves hearty, tasty breakfasts and lunches. Some menu items include bagels, breakfast burritos, omelets, sandwiches, salads, espresso drinks and ice cream shakes. This is a laid-back place to grab a bite. It is also a retailer, a hangout spot and, somewhat surprisingly, a meeting place for local techies. The Internet Users Group of Kalaheo meets here monthly. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Market and deli |
Kilauea Theatre Building (Kilauea Lighthouse Road) Kauai, HI 96754 United States +1 808 828 1512 |
You will not find a formal dining area here, but the variety of fresh, delicious lunch options makes it a great pit stop. Made-to-order deli sandwiches and homemade soups are available daily. Order a sandwich at the lunch counter between 9am and 2:30pm. All sandwiches are served on fresh-baked bread from the Kilauea Bakery (located next door). Daily lunch specials are always tasty. Desserts are also available. This place also operates as something of a convenience store, selling toiletries and snack foods. Review © 2007, Wcities |
