A quaint town at the mouth of Lake Tahoe |
West Lake Tahoe Lake Tahoe, CA 96145 United States |
This little town on the west shore of the lake is home to many shops and popular restaurants, all within walking distance of one another. The only outlet to Lake Tahoe is the spillway underneath Fanny Bridge. The bridge was so named because passersby on the highway saw numerous people constantly leaning over the bridge looking at the hundreds of fish in the waters below. Across the highway you will find miles of hiking and biking trails, and places to rent rafts and float tubes so you can float downstream on the Truckee River. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Oldest course in the Tahoe basin |
251 North Lake Boulevard Lake Tahoe, CA 96145 United States +1 530 583 1516 http://www.tcgc.com/ |
Designed by Mrs. May Web Dunn in 1917, this course is 5,261 yards and par 33. The course overlooks Lake Tahoe, so you may be distracted by the breathtaking views. The caddy program continues to hire local youths, in keeping with Mrs. Dunn's wishes. The practice area includes a putting green, chipping bunker and netted driving range. Be sure to make your tee-off reservations two weeks in advance and, if you change your mind, there is a two-week cancellation policy. Review © 2007, Wcities |
