The Cars, Stars & Guitars Annual Motorhead Festival is an event that brings together kindred spirits who have a fascination for gleaming chrome and shapely curves, custom paint jobs and pointy fenders. Owners display their hot-rods, bikes, race cars, and this largely local event benefits local charities and the custom car community. Not only do the gear heads indulge in shop talk, they also swap stories; their first traffic violation, the time they sneaked out in dad's car, the first kiss. With all this nostalgia in the air, the live music and good times at Hooters almost seem like an afterthought. Come to the Cars, Stars & Guitars Annual Motorhead Festival. If not for much, at least for the memories. Review © 2009, Wcities |

Mexican margaritas in May |
Las Vegas, NV United States +1 702 892 7575 |
Cinco de Mayo(the Fifth of May) is not, as the popular misconception goes, the Mexican Independence Day. Over the years, the date has become symbolic of Mexican heritage and pride. Festivities take place across the city, not just in bars and restaurants, but also through organized cultural events. It's only fair that visitors join the festivities and partake of the margaritas as much as they can! Review © 2009, Wcities |

Cirque du Soleil, the creators of original powerhouse shows including Mystere, Zumanity, O and Varekai have unleashed their newest performance, KA. This visual spectacular combines martial arts, acrobatics, shadow puppetry, and indoor fireworks to tell the saga of Imperial Twins who embark on an adventurous journey. KA, or, "fire that can unite or separate, destroy or illuminate." The venue is the KA Theatre at MGM Grand, and is in the former showroom that housed EFX. The design of the theater ensures that everyone has the best seat in the house. State-of-the-art acoustics provide dreamlike surround sound, with special speakers embedded in each of the ultra cozy and comfy seats. The audience sits facing an apparently bottomless void filled with smoke. Above, around and inside the void the artists make their entrances, perform and exit without touching a traditional stage. Instead, they fly through the air or perform on one of two moving platforms. While the storyline is a little convoluted, the visual and audio aspects make this a fun show for all ages. Cirque du Soleil is one of the most recognizable entertainment brands in the world. Any production is guaranteed to deliver thrills and chills like nothing else you will ever see. With KA, Cirque du Soleil not only extends its brand, but enriches the whole Cirque experience. At a brisk 90 minutes, this show is just the ticket for your visit to Las Vegas and it's close to everything on the Strip in the MGM Grand. KA will give you a heart-stopping jolt without having to drop your bankroll! In 2004 alone nearly seven million people attended a Cirque du Soleil performance. That many satisfied customers can't be wrong! Review © 2009, Wcities |

The marathon lasted five months, and Johnny Moss won over 'Nick the Greek' Dondolos. He walked away with a cool USD2 million! Taking place every June, the tournament attracts more than 4,000 players. Winnings for the extravaganza are in the neighborhood of USD11 million. It all happens at Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino. If you wish to play, ante up USD10,000 and see how long you can last. Spectators are encouraged to watch the action free of charge. Review © 2009, Wcities |
