Cafe Martorano

Restaurant Gone Nightclub
3700 West Flamingo Road
Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino
Las Vegas, NV 89103
United States

Steve Martorano is a big guy with muscles and tattoos. And he can cook up some mean Italian food. His vision: "Part restaurant. Part nightclub. All Italian." The music is loud, ranging from Frank Sinatra in the early evening to Hip Hop and R&B late at night. It's not unusual for people to dance in the aisles, or even on top of their tables. There is no menu. Instead, a waiter rattles off that day's list of about dozen entrées, but the servings are large and meant for sharing. This is a hugely popular attraction at the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino, with the prices to go with it, so reservations are highly recommended.

Fantasy at Luxor is more than just a burlesque show showcasing women in skimpy outfits. This exciting show includes provocative dance numbers, sexy choreography, hilarious comedic routines and amazing vocal performances. Like the name suggests, the show is all about fantasy and seduction and is aimed at providing sexy stimulation for couples. Because it is an adult revue, audiences must be mature enough to handle what is considered one of the sexiest shows in Las Vegas.

As it is Sin City, sex sells, but Ivan Kane certainly doesn't take himself too seriously. Reminiscent of the speakeasy's of yesteryear, the dancers at the Forty Deuce are here to entertain, not just get your heart pumping. Here, the burlesque style rules. There are comedic skits, laughing, and dancing, all accompanied by a live brass band that seems to bring you back in time. Make sure you plan ahead because this place fills quickly.

So, what do you do when the DJ starts playing a classic number when you are in a mood for modern hiphop? Sit tight or drive to another nightclub? Well, now you just have to walk to the next room. Jet at the Mirage Hotel has three huge rooms spinning varied music, helping you find your comfort zone. An attempt to pull the young and the happening to Mirage, the group pulls up an ace with Jet. With a capacity to hold 1400 people at a time, and three dance floors with four bars, 'big' is the only word to describe this nightclub. The sound won't let you sit, and the drinks won't let you stand!

Cirque du Soleil, the creators of original powerhouse shows including Mystere, Zumanity, O and Varekai have unleashed their newest performance, KA. This visual spectacular combines martial arts, acrobatics, shadow puppetry, and indoor fireworks to tell the saga of Imperial Twins who embark on an adventurous journey. KA, or, "fire that can unite or separate, destroy or illuminate." The venue is the KA Theatre at MGM Grand, and is in the former showroom that housed EFX. The design of the theater ensures that everyone has the best seat in the house. State-of-the-art acoustics provide dreamlike surround sound, with special speakers embedded in each of the ultra cozy and comfy seats. The audience sits facing an apparently bottomless void filled with smoke. Above, around and inside the void the artists make their entrances, perform and exit without touching a traditional stage. Instead, they fly through the air or perform on one of two moving platforms. While the storyline is a little convoluted, the visual and audio aspects make this a fun show for all ages. Cirque du Soleil is one of the most recognizable entertainment brands in the world. Any production is guaranteed to deliver thrills and chills like nothing else you will ever see. With KA, Cirque du Soleil not only extends its brand, but enriches the whole Cirque experience. At a brisk 90 minutes, this show is just the ticket for your visit to Las Vegas and it's close to everything on the Strip in the MGM Grand. KA will give you a heart-stopping jolt without having to drop your bankroll! In 2004 alone nearly seven million people attended a Cirque du Soleil performance. That many satisfied customers can't be wrong!
