The annual Monster Jam World Finals at the Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas is the apex of monster truck events in the United States. While other motor sports have their 'off-season', a hundred odd monster truck teams tough it out to come up tops with the judges. The competitors are selected on the basis of points and honors. Once the trucks get on the track, the high octane beasts reach speeds of up to sixty-five miles per hour, even on freestyle obstacle courses.
