When nightlife mogul, Rande Gerber, designs a nightclub, he always wants to try something new, and Cherry is no exception. Reminiscent of the famous Red Rock National Conservation Areas in California and Nevada, Cherry incorporates the red stone of the desert into its innovative and stylish decor, transforming the inside into an 8,500 square foot visual masterpiece. A mirrored, lit-up tunnel takes you straight into the center of the action, with 20 VIP rooms surrounding the scattered tables and chairs which line the dance floor. Just about everything in Las Vegas is over the top, and Coyote Ugly is no exception. This franchise joint based on the 2000 movie of the same name ensures you will have a raucous good time while you get hammered from the free flowing shooters. It's unlikely you will bump into LeAnn Rimes or any other authentic stars, but it's the atmosphere that you go for and not the celebrities. From the women dancing on the bar, pouring beer down their shirts and customers throats, to the loud music and packed house, this is a perfect place for a wild night out. Whether you are looking for a break from the stress of gambling, or an ambiance unlike your normal nightclub, this is a perfect spot to dance into the morning hours. Review © 2009, Wcities |

Breakfast Clubbin' Wednesday at Culture Club is hosted by April from Paradise City and featuring DJ Robert O. Try the Ronald Reagan: vodka, Malibu, peach, pineapple, OJ and grenadine, as you check out the DeLorean suspended from the ceiling. After all, I bet you never saw one in the 80's did you? After a few fancy cocktails, hit the purple rain dance floor and bask in nostalgia while getting into the groove with flashdancers and Madonna-wannabes. After a few more fancy cocktails, wanna mess with a Rubik's cube? Watch for contests and promotions each week. -Marilee Ryan Review © 2009, Wcities |

Classic Booze, Refreshing Entertainment |
3035, East Tropicana Boulevard Las Vegas, NV 89121 United States +1 702 435-7526 http://www.vegasdivebar.com |
It bills itself as the King of Bars, and while Divebar is an above-average, occasionally rowdy watering hole (and not a dive at all) that also offers decent sandwiches and steaks, its main contribution to the local tavern scene is a weekly schedule chock full of interesting, often eccentric entertainment. Rock or punk bands are the norm, but Monday is saved for an open mic night that defies the term- the entertainment is actually of high quality, hosted by a talented acoustic duo, and featuring a small group of regulars that play all types of music. But if you're just coming to imbibe, catch the Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., including $3 shots of Pirate's Blood. Review © 2009, Wcities |

The house rules of this club are, 'You Puke, You Clean', if this isn't eye-catching enough then wait till you walk in to the Double Down Saloon. It's located between the city's airport corridors of Paradise and Swenson, far east off the Strip and is not a club you will come across by accident. Double Down has a certain fan-like cult following and is a very interesting place if you want to meet a lot of different kinds of people. The drinks here are very strong and have innovative named. Live bands play here too and there are plenty of fun events, check their website for more details. Review © 2009, Wcities |

This place is in every sports fan's fantasies and it really exists. The two-level, 33,000-sq. ft. bar/restaurant has three areas: the Screening Room, the Sports Arena and the Studio Grill. The Screening Room allows viewers to sit back in leather recliners and watch sports surrounded by 14 big screened TVs. The Sports Arena is on the second level and is filled with activities including a football toss, a climbing wall, virtual reality boxing, a duckpin bowling alley, and, of course, video games. The Studio Grill offers food like chicken wings and cheese fries, but also has pastas, ribs, seafood, and steaks. Don't forget to grab a drink while you're at it; even if you want to go play some more games, just put your beer or martini in one of the drink holders built into them. Really! One of Vegas' many nightclubs and bars, the Empire Ballroom, formerly Club Utopia promises dizzying nights of drink-n-dance. Strictly for those over 21 (they will ask for a valid id), the club hosts local and upcoming live bands of all possible genres that perform to crowds looking to dance their troubles away. Marathon music sessions rock the joint into the wee hours for those with the stamina to keep up the grind. Theme nights and DJs add to the club's sparkling scene, and the décor is unbeatable—red and brown, with massive couches to plunge into after scorching the dance floor. Eight cabanas on the patio provide some good views of the Strip and some private space for couples. For those into name-dropping: Macy Gray and Camp Freddie have put in an appearance at this 1300-capacity hotspot. Review © 2009, Wcities |

Tao epitomizes the decadent excess that is Las Vegas. The restaurant/nightclub is simply stunning, from the cascading waterfalls to the rose petal-filled pools to the 16-foot Buddha statue, the surroundings set a standard that the menu fully lives up to. At Tao your palate is in good hands. The menu features pan-Asian dishes, mixing Hong Kong Chinese, Japanese, and Thai creating an eclectic menu. Try the Alaskan Salmon and Avocado with Yuzu Sesame dressing or the Grilled Rare Yellow-fin Tuna with flash cooked Bean Sprouts and Scallions, which are both memorable dishes. Also, with the nightclub open until 5a, don't forget to leave time to dance the night away! Review © 2009, Wcities |

Sports themed Upper Deck restaurant is open all day long for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can have a burger or a sandwich to a prime rib or the 20-ounce T-bone steak, and milkshakes that are made from real ice cream. The place is entirely covered in sports memorabilia. Great food and very easy on the pocket and a place where you can sit and while away your time with a friend. Review © 2009, Wcities |

Once known as one of the original Vegas ultra-lounges, V Bar at the Venetian has morphed into a smaller and more intimate venue but maintained its hipness and sense of high style, perhaps since it was created by the team behind New York's Lotus and L.A.'s Sunset Room. Established DJs create a relaxing, subdued mood most nights, but things get urban and busy on Wednesdays for the weekly Midnight Snack Event, one of the cooler but lesser known nightlife events on The Strip. On these nights, tasty hors d'oeuvres, fashion, art exhibits and house music come together to spice things up. -Brock Radke Review © 2009, Wcities |
