Beauty Bar

Like You Just Stepped Out of a Salon
517 Fremont Street
Las Vegas, NV 89101
United States
+1 702 598 1965
http://www.beautybar.com/
This retro beauty salon-inspired nightclub is uber-trendy, and a good destination in Vegas if you want to take refuge from the casino-infested Strip. The 50's themed bar, complete with old-school salon chairs with hair dryer sets, is just like stepping into a salon, sans booze. DJ's spin seven nights a week with no cover charge, so you can save your money for one their expensive drinks like the Platinum Blonde, or a Shampoo. Unlike their sister spots in San Francisco and LA, Beauty Bar Vegas does not perform "real" manicures. But no worries, they still have the famous "Martini-Manicure Happy Hour," in which they do a manicure demonstration, every bit as good as the real thing.

This high end nightclub is small, it accomodates around 400. Wynn is advertising this club as the first Boutique nightclub with something for everyone. It is pricey but not nearly as much as some of its counterparts on the strip. Early on in the evening you may taste some delicious Asian appetizers from Red 8, but after 10 pm this place is all club as the onyx dancefloor opens and DJ start spinning house music, rock and hip-hop. You should wear your styling club attire as the atmosphere is chic and fashionable. VIP passes and tables are the only way you can get a seat, but the prices for these special privileges are not as steep as some clubs. Included in the VIP packages is a bottle of Skyy Vodka. This is a club that will appeal to a wide variety of tastes. -Marilee Ryan

Just about everything in Las Vegas is over the top, and Coyote Ugly is no exception. This franchise joint based on the 2000 movie of the same name ensures you will have a raucous good time while you get hammered from the free flowing shooters. It's unlikely you will bump into LeAnn Rimes or any other authentic stars, but it's the atmosphere that you go for and not the celebrities. From the women dancing on the bar, pouring beer down their shirts and customers throats, to the loud music and packed house, this is a perfect place for a wild night out. Whether you are looking for a break from the stress of gambling, or an ambiance unlike your normal nightclub, this is a perfect spot to dance into the morning hours.

It bills itself as the King of Bars, and while Divebar is an above-average, occasionally rowdy watering hole (and not a dive at all) that also offers decent sandwiches and steaks, its main contribution to the local tavern scene is a weekly schedule chock full of interesting, often eccentric entertainment. Rock or punk bands are the norm, but Monday is saved for an open mic night that defies the term- the entertainment is actually of high quality, hosted by a talented acoustic duo, and featuring a small group of regulars that play all types of music. But if you're just coming to imbibe, catch the Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., including $3 shots of Pirate's Blood.

Getting inside may be tough but it is worth every penny. It has a 28,000 square feet dance floor, fireballs dangling above the dance floor, cabanas, skyboxes, and water fountains. For an intimate evening, you can reserve the water booths that accommodate about 15 guests. The in-house DJs mostly play hip hop and techno beats. The establishment features VIP booths, exotic drink creations and some of the best music and DJs on the strip. And be sure to check out the awesome interactive image-projecting tables that respond to touch and motion. Dark and moody, full of conversation-ready corners, The Griffin is fairly new but easily one of the coolest bars in Vegas and definitely the epitome of the Downtown area's slow revival. Full of leather-clad lounging spots, candle-lit nooks, and fireplaces, and equipped with friendly and easygoing bartenders, this watering hole is the perfect little hipster joint for a smart cocktail, a provocative date, or more. Its relaxing atmosphere is a welcome escape from the nearby tourist dwelling known as the Fremont Street Experience. -Brock Radke

Once known as one of the original Vegas ultra-lounges, V Bar at the Venetian has morphed into a smaller and more intimate venue but maintained its hipness and sense of high style, perhaps since it was created by the team behind New York's Lotus and L.A.'s Sunset Room. Established DJs create a relaxing, subdued mood most nights, but things get urban and busy on Wednesdays for the weekly Midnight Snack Event, one of the cooler but lesser known nightlife events on The Strip. On these nights, tasty hors d'oeuvres, fashion, art exhibits and house music come together to spice things up. -Brock Radke
