Big Dog's Bar and Grill

A howling good time
6390 West Sahara Avenue
Las Vegas, NV 89102
United States
+1 702 876 3647
Dogs rule the roost at this favorite hangout of Las Vegas locals. Beer flows from fire hydrant taps and dog paintings adorn the walls. Even much of the food is dog-themed. Try the Big Dog Burger, or if you're really hungry, the Two Dog Burger. There is also an Herbed Rotisserie Chicken that will have you licking your chops. Steaks, ribs and quesadillas add to the fun food menu. Wash it down with an award-winning, locally-brewed Holy Cow Beer.

If you enjoy your beer warm and you like to call your French fries "chips," you will love this place. It is an authentic British pub, with dark paneling, green accents, and an old-style, oversized bar with rotating bar stools. You will not just find British beer here, but also many selections from throughout Europe. From fish and chips to the Lamb with Yorkshire Pudding served on Sunday. This place is so authentic, you almost expect the Beatles to walk out of the restroom.

Divebar

Classic Booze, Refreshing Entertainment
3035, East Tropicana Boulevard
Las Vegas, NV 89121
United States
+1 702 435-7526
http://www.vegasdivebar.com
It bills itself as the King of Bars, and while Divebar is an above-average, occasionally rowdy watering hole (and not a dive at all) that also offers decent sandwiches and steaks, its main contribution to the local tavern scene is a weekly schedule chock full of interesting, often eccentric entertainment. Rock or punk bands are the norm, but Monday is saved for an open mic night that defies the term- the entertainment is actually of high quality, hosted by a talented acoustic duo, and featuring a small group of regulars that play all types of music. But if you're just coming to imbibe, catch the Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., including $3 shots of Pirate's Blood.

This traditional Irish pub features live Irish bands, pints for the masses, and great Irish cuisine. Stop down for Luck O'the Irish Wednesdays, where you may win a free dinner entrée. While you can never go wrong with the traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner or the Sheperd's Pie, the Gaelic Pepper Steak or the Dublin Salmon will suit those looking for something a little different.Because any time is fine for the Irish at heart, this pub serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Located next to Neonopolis, this tavern is a new addition to the downtown area development program. Stop by and check it out. -Marilee Ryan

Authentic Irish pub
221 North Rampart Boulevard
Las Vegas, NV 89145
United States
+1 702 869 7725

This is an authentic Irish pub, in the truest sense; manufactured in Ireland, dismantled and reassembled here at the Marriot. Live Irish music is featured here several nights a week. Appetizers range from potato leek soup to savory pork pie. The Irish stew is delightful, and the Beef and Guinness Pie is rich and filling. Corned Beef and Cabbage is served with a creamy parsley sauce and potato pancakes. Irish coffees are available, as are four Irish-brewed beers and 14 Irish whiskeys.

Lucky Strike

Hipster Bowling With Bottle Service
3700, West Flamingo Road
Las Vegas, NV 89103
United States
+702 777 7999
http://www.purelv.com
Straight from Hollywood to the Rio, Lucky Strike Lanes brings a new mood to bowling: it's still fun and laid-back, but now it's cool, compliments of signature cocktails, optional bottle service and a menu perfect for the kid in you (don't miss the fried mac-and-cheese bites). It only has a few lanes but that just helps to create an intimate lounge feel, augmented by a slick bar and sexy staff. Monday night is when the place goes crazy, as local comic entertainer Jeff Beacher takes over Lucky Strike with his BUBA league, complete with DJs and go-go dancers. -Brock Radke

Nine Fine Irishmen is about as close as you'll come to an authentic New York recreation of a real Irish pub - in Vegas. Located on the grounds of the Strip's New York-New York, the two-story pub keeps throngs of gamblers and party people coming back for pints of Guinness, plates of Irish Stew and Shepherd's Pie (as well as decidedly American fare like turkey burgers and shrimp pizza), live music and more. See website for full menu, entertainment schedule, webcam, online reservations, and a rundown of exactly who those nine fine Irishmen actually were.
