The 24/7 Cafe, located in the Palms Resort & Casino, is available whenever you need a moment's break in Las Vegas. The menu is extensive and serves everything you'd expect from a Vegas restaurant, prime rib, slow cooked spare ribs, burgers, sandwiches, etc., plus there's a whole Chinese menu. Someone out there will undoubtedly stumble by after a long night and decide that Sweet and Sour Pork is exactly what their radioactively drunk body needs. I don't recommend it, but it's nice to know you can try. The 24/7 Cafe offers good food for any meal of the day, is popular among guests and visitors, and the plasma TV's are a nice added touch. This diner is easy to spot with the chrome exterior and sleek shape. Once inside, the jukebox and poodle skirts will bring you back to the 50s. Breakfasts are big and filling. Eggs, pancakes, Belgian waffles, omelets and juices are available all day. There are "blue plate specials" each day, ranging from meatloaf and mashed potatoes to patty melts. The first thing you notice is the size of the place with more than 500 seats. However, the lines move quickly and the food is outstanding, making this well worth the visit. The buffet overlooks the outdoor lagoon, so instead of dining at a buffet in Vegas, you will feel like you are in Tahiti. The food is of impeccable quality, and varies from traditional American buffet choices to Asian specialties, vegetarian fare and exquisite desserts. It is located inside Mandalay Bay. This spot has stood the test of time. One of the original "themed" restaurants, it has been here for more than 30 years (since the hotel was known as the International). One of its claims to fame, of course, is the exhibition-style Teppanyaki preparation and cooking your selection of beef, chicken or fish at your tableside. Reservations are recommended, but if you have to wait, the Kabuki Lounge offers great atmosphere and exotic drinks. This is not just another Japanese restaurant, but a true fantasyland adventure, complete with realistic thunderstorms, waterfalls and magnificent aquariums. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Famous L.A. Pastrami |
3300 Las Vegas Boulevard Las Vegas, NV 89109 United States +1 702 894 7111 http://www.TreasureIsland.com |
This iconic Los Angeles eatery set up shop a few years back in Treasure Island. While the smaller casino version couldn't possibly pack the lunch crowd punch as the original site, it has certainly established itself as a favorite snacking spot for late-night diners, hungry clubgoers, and Strip execs seeking a sublime sandwich. High quality pastrami, turkey, or corned beef are all great choices, but the soft sourdough may be the secret to success. Save room for the chocolate chip cake. -Brock Radke Review © 2007, Wcities |

No Trouble in Little China |
4255 Spring Mountain Road Las Vegas, NV 89109 United States +1 702 221 8448 http://lvchinatown.com/ |
Las Vegas has the only master planned Chinatown built on a strip mall. Chinatown Plaza is one of the most exciting neighborhoods in Las Vegas and one of the only places that touts a particular ethnicity. The Plaza boasts many Asian arts and crafts shops, gift stores, a bakery, a Chinese herb shop, a jade store and a plant store where you can get a lucky money tree. Signs placed throughout the area contain factual information about Chinese art and history, so it's a good place to learn a few things in passing. The food is the best reason to visit this attraction, though. You may sample Filipino, Korean, Japanese or Vietnamese specialties in addition to the traditional Chinese fare. Come on down and try a cold Taiwanese boba tea, some pho noodle soup or some fresh sushi! - Marilee Ryan Review © 2007, Wcities |

Cockeyed Clam is a casual new England style seafood restaurant hidden inside the Imperial Palace Hotel of Las Vegas which, in fact, is done up with an Asian theme. No beating around the bush here! Walk in to expect delicately flavored fresh seafood such as shrimp, scallops, crab, catfish, calamari, oysters and lobster cooked to perfection. Care for the special new England touch? Rush for the hot and steamy clam chowder made from fresh cherrystone clams and spinach artichoke dip baked with Vermont white cheddar cheese.
