Winner of the Las Vegas Review-Journal Best of Las Vegas Readers Poll for hotel gourmet rooms, this lovely dining room inside Mandalay Bay features waterfalls and live swans. The room seems very European, but the menu items are American. Try any of the seafood dishes and you won't go wrong, especially with the Saffron Scallops. Beef and chicken dishes are also offered and are served in classic gourmet room style. One of the best-known features is the wine tower, with a multi-storied wine cellar complete with pulley-climbing wine stewards.

The first thing you notice is the size of the place with more than 500 seats. However, the lines move quickly and the food is outstanding, making this well worth the visit. The buffet overlooks the outdoor lagoon, so instead of dining at a buffet in Vegas, you will feel like you are in Tahiti. The food is of impeccable quality, and varies from traditional American buffet choices to Asian specialties, vegetarian fare and exquisite desserts. It is located inside Mandalay Bay.

The room rotates slowly at 360 degrees per hour so you can see the entire city from every angle. The service is superb and the excellent menu features steaks, fresh fish and lobster. Cocktails and a moderately priced wine list are available. Truly, this is an unforgettable dining experience. Afterwards, you can ride the rollercoaster at the top.

Chef and restaurateur Wolfgang Puck has done it again. A bar in the center of the restaurant is a great place to meet prior to dining. The Italian bistro features classics with traditional and contemporary influences amid a Tuscan cafe-like setting. The menu changes frequently, but main favorites are available when requested. Options include unique variations of fresh seafood, pasta, veal, gourmet pizza, lamb and chicken. The pastries here are phenomenal, so save room. Private dining is also available.
