Andiamo means "let's go" in Italian, and indeed, this intimate restaurant at the Las Vegas Hilton is not to be missed! Open since 1987, it is, in the words of Chef Ray Sansota, a "hidden treasure." The food is California-style Italian; fresh ingredients and sauces are high in taste and low in fat. Try the Angel Hair Pasta with Chopped Fresh Tomato Sauce or the Sage-Breaded Veal Chop. The restaurant offers different prix-fixe meals weekly, which include appetizer, soup, salad, choice of entree and dessert. A full bar is available.

Strains of Italian music and the lovely ambience sets the mood for romance. Shrimp scampi, Italian mixed green salad or minestrone and a side of pasta will delight Italian food lovers. Halibut, salmon, orange roughly and sea bass are broiled over a mesquite flame, sautéed in butter, blackened with Cajun spices or poached in bouillon and white wine, makes a good main course. Praline ice-cream pie is a perfect ending to a hearty meal.

This restaurant, located within the splendid Wynn Las Vegas received the AAA Four Diamond Award of Excellence in 2006. Well, it comes as no surprise since Chef Paul Bartolotta, (who was named Best American Chef-Midwest by the James Beard Foundation) heads the kitchen! The menu keeps changing seasonally, and the seafood is flown in daily from Europe. Though the prices are steep, you won't mind spending a few dollars more to sample world-class fare.

While it is not exactly outdoor dining, the ceiling and fountains at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace are reminiscent of a small Italian town. The menu here is classic Italian, with pastas, salads, chicken and beef dishes. There is a full beer and wine selection available. This eatery is very trendy and very popular, so be prepared to wait for a table. However, the waiting area is a lovely promenade in the Forum Shops and a great place to people watch. Here is your basic Italian restaurant, except it has a very unusual setting. The atmosphere is very off-the-wall, colorful, campy and esoteric. All of the entrees are served "family style" in huge portions; an order of ravioli is large enough to serve four hungry adults. The pizza kitchen is visible to diners, and kids love watching this part of the restaurant. The pizzas are all Sicilian rectangle-shaped pies. The linguini with clam sauce is perfectly seasoned with garlic. A full wine and beer list is offered.

The Cafe Blue Restaurant is where students of Le Courdon Bleu College of Culinary Arts get to perfect their craft. The establishment is also completely student run. Guests who arrive early can get kitchen-side seating and watch the students at work. The school focuses on American, French and Italian cuisine. Because the students take turns at all stations, you will often be seated by the chefs themselves, which means the service is reliable and top-notch. The food is also very reasonably priced considering the high quality. Unfortunately, it's only open select hours and reservations are highly recommended.

Steve Martorano is a big guy with muscles and tattoos. And he can cook up some mean Italian food. His vision: "Part restaurant. Part nightclub. All Italian." The music is loud, ranging from Frank Sinatra in the early evening to Hip Hop and R&B late at night. It's not unusual for people to dance in the aisles, or even on top of their tables. There is no menu. Instead, a waiter rattles off that day's list of about dozen entrées, but the servings are large and meant for sharing. This is a hugely popular attraction at the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino, with the prices to go with it, so reservations are highly recommended.

Perhaps its sleek style (adopted from the original New York location) scares away potential patrons, but anyone who passes up Fiamma is missing out on one of Vegas' most underrated restaurants. This warmly lit, black-and-gray accented trattoria and bar is fixed in a prime location on the MGM Grand's restaurant walk. It is a great place for groups or dates, especially if you want to impress. The menu is divided simply between antipasti, pasta and meat selections, but the cuisine is far from simple. The incredibly tender braised short rib-filled ravioli is a star selection, and black truffle potato puree highlights a list of accompaniments. -Brock Radke

Panevino's serves the most scrumptious Italian fare in town. Bruschettas, Minestres, Antipasti, Insalata and more...the options are mindboggling. Try the Pesce Spada, Rigatoni al Ragu and Galletto Padovano. The desserts are very limited for a place like this - Tiramisu or Chocolate Mousse mostly. Happy hours, buffets, private dining and a lounge bar are part of the attraction.

Chicken Angelo, a classic Italian favorite, is a chicken breast prepared with sauteed red peppers, mushrooms, olives and artichokes. The lasagna is a big favorite, and at USD9.99, a very good deal. An entire menu is dedicated to lunch specials, and all are a great bargain. Real brick-oven pizzas are cheesy and delicious, and the eight pasta selections are filling and quick. For dinner, the pizza is always a good choice, as is the Tiger Shrimp Salad. The Fettuccini Teatro, a fettuccine with a red Alfredo sauce, mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes, is tasty and is served with Caesar salad and garlic bread. For dessert, sample the Turtle Cheesecake. Located on the 52nd floor of the Fantasy Tower in the swanky Palms Hotel, the Playboy Club is a pleasure all around. You'll encounter no sour-faced dealers here. Instead, beautiful women wearing tight, skimpy outfits and the signature bunny ears will ease the pain of losing money at craps, cards or slots. When you get hungry, trip downstairs to Nove, a fine Italian restaurant. Later, if you last until the evening, swallow your losses and head up a floor to Moon, a nightclub with a retractable roof that allows its namesake to light your revelry. When it's all worn you out, go back to your room and collapse, until it's time to do it all again.
