The 24/7 Cafe, located in the Palms Resort & Casino, is available whenever you need a moment's break in Las Vegas. The menu is extensive and serves everything you'd expect from a Vegas restaurant, prime rib, slow cooked spare ribs, burgers, sandwiches, etc., plus there's a whole Chinese menu. Someone out there will undoubtedly stumble by after a long night and decide that Sweet and Sour Pork is exactly what their radioactively drunk body needs. I don't recommend it, but it's nice to know you can try. The 24/7 Cafe offers good food for any meal of the day, is popular among guests and visitors, and the plasma TV's are a nice added touch. This diner is easy to spot with the chrome exterior and sleek shape. Once inside, the jukebox and poodle skirts will bring you back to the 50s. Breakfasts are big and filling. Eggs, pancakes, Belgian waffles, omelets and juices are available all day. There are "blue plate specials" each day, ranging from meatloaf and mashed potatoes to patty melts. This fine Chinese restaurant has a great deal of authentic Asian ambiance, and more than 15 years of popularity. The war wonton soup, full of chicken, pork and vegetables, is an excellent way to start the meal. If salads are more to your liking, try the Khan's Mongolian Lamb, spicy lamb marinated in a sherry wine sauce and served on Chinese mustard greens. Main selections run from the spicy braised lobster to Steak Cantonese. Several vegetable, noodle and egg entrees are also available. Beer and wine are served. Review © 2009, Wcities |

This restaurant, located within the splendid Wynn Las Vegas received the AAA Four Diamond Award of Excellence in 2006. This spot has stood the test of time. One of the original "themed" restaurants, it has been here for more than 30 years (since the hotel was known as the International). One of its claims to fame, of course, is the exhibition-style Teppanyaki preparation and cooking your selection of beef, chicken or fish at your tableside. Reservations are recommended, but if you have to wait, the Kabuki Lounge offers great atmosphere and exotic drinks. This is not just another Japanese restaurant, but a true fantasyland adventure, complete with realistic thunderstorms, waterfalls and magnificent aquariums. Review © 2009, Wcities |

The Cafe Blue Restaurant is where students of Le Courdon Bleu College of Culinary Arts get to perfect their craft. The establishment is also completely student run. Guests who arrive early can get kitchen-side seating and watch the students at work. The school focuses on American, French and Italian cuisine. Steve Martorano is a big guy with muscles and tattoos. And he can cook up some mean Italian food. His vision: "Part restaurant. Part nightclub. All Italian." The music is loud, ranging from Frank Sinatra in the early evening to Hip Hop and R&B late at night. It's not unusual for people to dance in the aisles, or even on top of their tables. There is no menu. Instead, a waiter rattles off that day's list of about dozen entrées, but the servings are large and meant for sharing. This is a hugely popular attraction at the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino, with the prices to go with it, so reservations are highly recommended. Review © 2009, Wcities |

Las Vegas has the only master planned Chinatown built on a strip mall. Chinatown Plaza is one of the most exciting neighborhoods in Las Vegas and one of the only places that touts a particular ethnicity. The Plaza boasts many Asian arts and crafts shops, gift stores, a bakery, a Chinese herb shop, a jade store and a plant store where you can get a lucky money tree. Signs placed throughout the area contain factual information about Chinese art and history, so it's a good place to learn a few things in passing. The food is the best reason to visit this attraction, though. You may sample Filipino, Korean, Japanese or Vietnamese specialties in addition to the traditional Chinese fare. Just about everything in Las Vegas is over the top, and Coyote Ugly is no exception. This franchise joint based on the 2000 movie of the same name ensures you will have a raucous good time while you get hammered from the free flowing shooters. It's unlikely you will bump into LeAnn Rimes or any other authentic stars, but it's the atmosphere that you go for and not the celebrities. From the women dancing on the bar, pouring beer down their shirts and customers throats, to the loud music and packed house, this is a perfect place for a wild night out. Whether you are looking for a break from the stress of gambling, or an ambiance unlike your normal nightclub, this is a perfect spot to dance into the morning hours. Review © 2009, Wcities |

5555 West Charleston Boulevard Las Vegas, NV 89146 United States +1 702 870 9999 http://www.fellinislv.com/ |
A lot of the city's top dogs pass through these doors. You are nearly certain to run into local celebrities and politicians. A complete remodel has transformed the site into a lovely place to dine, complete with piano bar. The appetizers are your average Italian selection, but the main dishes are excellent. You will find Linguine Pescatora, Bistecca Florentina, and for seafood lovers, Scampi Alla Griglia, all made with the lightest pasta, and served with mouthwatering sauces. An excellent wine list will accompany your selection. A house red runs about USD22. The restaurant has a second location at the Stratosphere Hotel Casino. Review © 2009, Wcities |

Incredible Food in a Stylish Spot |
3799 Las Vegas Boulevard S MGM Grand Las Vegas, NV 89109 United States +1 702 891 7600 http://www.mgmgrand.com |
Perhaps its sleek style (adopted from the original New York location) scares away potential patrons, but anyone who passes up Fiamma is missing out on one of Vegas' most underrated restaurants. This warmly lit, black-and-gray accented trattoria and bar is fixed in a prime location on the MGM Grand's restaurant walk. It is a great place for groups or dates, especially if you want to impress. The menu is divided simply between antipasti, pasta and meat selections, but the cuisine is far from simple. The incredibly tender braised short rib-filled ravioli is a star selection, and black truffle potato puree highlights a list of accompaniments. -Brock Radke Review © 2009, Wcities |

The recent addition of Fin to the dining lineup at the evolving Mirage resort sets a new standard in fine Chinese cuisine in Las Vegas. A highly refined menu that includes Vietnamese-style noodle soups or sushi as light lunch options and delicacies such as abalone, pan-fried goose liver and rare crystal crab at dinnertime rests wonderfully in a serene, classy dining room augmented by rich wood tones and dramatic silvers. Some of the more simple dishes are among the greatest here, including the classic Crisp Shrimp on Fried Toast appetizer and wok-fried lobster in coconut sauce. -Brock Radke Review © 2009, Wcities |

Trendy nightspots don't get any more delicious than Firefly, found just east of the Strip and constantly packed with the young and beautiful. Its hipness is beyond justified; the Mojitos are as good as you'll find in Vegas and the light, fun cuisine is highlighted by small dishes such as Ham and Cheese Croquetas, Crispy Duck Rolls and Boquernos. If you're too hungry for tapas, try the Steak Frites or Paella, a hearty saffron rice dish loaded with fresh shellfish and chorizo sausage. -Brock Radke Review © 2009, Wcities |

Come to the Mansion for fine dining, Las Vegas style. "Chef of the Century" Joël Robuchon came out of retirement for this restaurant, and it was well worth it. From the decadent crystal chandelier to the velvety red lounge, you will hardly find a more romantic place to dine. The dishes themselves are as memorable as they are exceptional. Take Le Thon, a smoked and seared tuna with cauliflower, Nori and green curry, or try La Chataigne, a light cream of chestnuts on top of delicate celeriac custard. The sommelier will assure you nothing less than the most appropriate wine for your dining experience. Don't miss the opportunity to sample food that only comes around once in a hundred years.
