The 24/7 Cafe, located in the Palms Resort & Casino, is available whenever you need a moment's break in Las Vegas. The menu is extensive and serves everything you'd expect from a Vegas restaurant, prime rib, slow cooked spare ribs, burgers, sandwiches, etc., plus there's a whole Chinese menu. Someone out there will undoubtedly stumble by after a long night and decide that Sweet and Sour Pork is exactly what their radioactively drunk body needs. I don't recommend it, but it's nice to know you can try. The 24/7 Cafe offers good food for any meal of the day, is popular among guests and visitors, and the plasma TV's are a nice added touch. Atomic Liquors is open all day, so head here for a drink whether its day or night. Its probably one of the most popular late-night, early-hour watering hole for locals and tourists alike. With no elite ambience, the bar isn't for those who want to drink while they enjoy their classy surroundings, this is purely for hardcore drinkers. The aren't too many fancy drinks available here either, just good old beer and other spirits such as whiskey, rum, vodka and gin. Even with the limited choice available and the non-snazzy ambiance, the place is usually crowded with locals. Review © 2009, Wcities |

The Palms has spent a lot of money and manpower on their new Bistro Buffet. This was a multi-million dollar effort to improve the Fantasy Market Buffet, which many had discarded as a buffet in decline. Pancakes are made completely from scratch and come in a variety of ways, topped with fruits and syrups galore. Other interesting choices include Mexican breakfasts and crepes. Indeed, the menu is eclectic, but most of the dishes are the typical American family style affair. Chicken Fried Steak makes a tasty dinner, as does the Old-Fashioned Meatloaf. If it's earlier in the day, you might settle down with one of the many sandwich options, or a hearty Onion Ring Burger. Of course, any time of day is good for Coconut Cream Pie, so make sure to finish the meal off right. There are a number of other locations in the area. Simon at his best |
4455 Paradise Road Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, NV 89109 United States +1 702 693 4440 http://www.simonkitchen.com/ |
The restaurant takes its name from the celebrity owner Kerry Simon. As you walk in, you can't fail to notice the bronze panels that were once used to prepare kimono designs. Neatly arranged black chairs and wooden tables fill up the three dining sections, which overlook the swimming pool of the hotel. The interesting menu includes wood roasted pizzas and mouth watering entrees like Tandoori Salmon, Kerry's Chicken Curry and Double Cut Colorado Lamb Chops. Pasta lovers can dig into Penne, sautéed with rock shrimp or Angel Hair, soaked in tomato basil sauce. The Bar Menu features appetizers and pies. You may also spot Simon supervising his team and making sure that guests leave satisfied. This popular venue is also good for hosting private parties. Review © 2009, Wcities |
