This diner is easy to spot with the chrome exterior and sleek shape. Once inside, the jukebox and poodle skirts will bring you back to the 50s. Breakfasts are big and filling. Eggs, pancakes, Belgian waffles, omelets and juices are available all day. There are "blue plate specials" each day, ranging from meatloaf and mashed potatoes to patty melts. The milkshakes are served old-style, in metal cups with long spoons. There are salads and lighter fare for dieters, and the Cobb Salad is big and filling. No alcohol is served. Tableside theatrics |
3000 Paradise Road Las Vegas Hilton Las Vegas, NV 89109 United States +1 702 732 5334 http://www.benihana.com/ |
This spot has stood the test of time. One of the original "themed" restaurants, it has been here for more than 30 years (since the hotel was known as the International). One of its claims to fame, of course, is the exhibition-style Teppanyaki preparation and cooking your selection of beef, chicken or fish at your tableside. Reservations are recommended, but if you have to wait, the Kabuki Lounge offers great atmosphere and exotic drinks. This is not just another Japanese restaurant, but a true fantasyland adventure, complete with realistic thunderstorms, waterfalls and magnificent aquariums. Review © 2009, Wcities |

Dogs rule the roost at this favorite hangout of Las Vegas locals. Beer flows from fire hydrant taps and dog paintings adorn the walls. Even much of the food is dog-themed. Try the Big Dog Burger, or if you're really hungry, the Two Dog Burger. There is also an Herbed Rotisserie Chicken that will have you licking your chops. Steaks, ribs and quesadillas add to the fun food menu. Wash it down with an award-winning, locally-brewed Holy Cow Beer. Review © 2009, Wcities |

This is a surprisingly relaxed place inside the Treasure Island Hotel Casino, overlooking the more frantic Buccaneer Bay Pirate Show from the expansive window seating. Older children will enjoy the atmosphere, although no one under age five is allowed. Many people come here to enjoy the show while dining, but the food itself is well worth the visit. This is not your typical "theme" dining, but a bona fide gourmet room, with specialties such as Rack of Lamb, Filet Mignon and spectacular Lobster Bisque. Review © 2009, Wcities |

Steve Martorano is a big guy with muscles and tattoos. And he can cook up some mean Italian food. His vision: "Part restaurant. Part nightclub. All Italian." The music is loud, ranging from Frank Sinatra in the early evening to Hip Hop and R&B late at night. It's not unusual for people to dance in the aisles, or even on top of their tables. There is no menu. Instead, a waiter rattles off that day's list of about dozen entrées, but the servings are large and meant for sharing. This is a hugely popular attraction at the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino, with the prices to go with it, so reservations are highly recommended. Review © 2009, Wcities |

Located a bit south of The Strip, inside Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa & Casino, Sushi + Sake provides authentic Japanese sushi in a contemporary environment. World famous chef Ryuji Hasimoto makes delectable sashimi and nigiri, while also cooking traditional udon noodles and tempura. The sake side of the menu is extensively filled with a variety of infused sake. Review © 2009, Wcities |
