Even in a city with the dining diversity of Las Vegas, not everyone knows what to make of Malaysian food, which tends to be a mixture of Chinese, Thai, and Filipino cuisines. However, it didn't take long for locals to warm up to Satay, a popular lunch and late-night spot positioned strategically at the gates to Chinatown Las Vegas. You can't visit without trying the namesake appetizer, chicken or beef satay marinated, skewered, and served with delicious peanut sauce. Other affordable offerings include seven types of rice dishes such as masi lemak, which involves coconut, anchovy, and boiled egg; or chicken, fish, or pork dishes.
