The marine lake on New Brighton seafront is a popular location for a wide range of water sports. Jet-ski training is available at EUR70 per day or a 15-minute taster session will cost just £15. Powerboat training costs EUR150 for two days and plain sailing is around EUR5 per hour. As a Royal Yachting Association and British Canoe Union training centre, the school is a member of the A.A.L.A. Located on the corner of Wavertree Park, this sports centre caters for a wide variety of activities. The indoor gymnasiums are used for badminton, indoor soccer, weight training, basketball, netball and many other sports. The gym has a large swimming pool and a smaller, three-foot deep pool for children and beginners. Indoor and outdoor football pitches, tennis courts and an athletics stadium are situated near the main building.
