This rather chic restaurant perched opposite the Barbican Centre draws a mainly City-esque clientele, doing most of its business during office hours. A light, open space punctuated by contrasting black furniture and white linen, Alba is stylish and comfortable. The cuisine is Italian - expect dishes such as Wild Boar with Mushroom, with onion and barolo sauce on chickpeas.
