Anglo-French Cuisine at London Institution |
16 Carlos Place The Connaught London, London W1K 2AL +44 (0)20 7592 1222 http://www.angelahartnett.com/theconnaught/ |
The Connaught Hotel is somewhat of an institution in Mayfair, and its varied restaurants and bars have remained popular for many years. As you might expect from such a setting, this restaurant's dining room is traditionally, but tastefully, decorated. The menu serves up a wonderful Anglo-French fusion of haute-couture dishes for the discerning palate, with specialties that include such items as Caramelised Moulard Duck Breast, served with spiced red cabbage, buttered baby navets and crushed dragées. The restaurant is also open for breakfast and brunch, with the scrambled egg and caviar pastries as popular favorites. For those longing for an after-dinner drink, be sure to stop by the other posh bars and sitting rooms within the hotel, serving choice drinks and light fare. Review © 2009, Wcities |
