French elegance |
13-15 West Street London, London WC2H 9NE +44 (0)207 010 8600 |
After pleasing patrons in Las Vegas, Paris, New York and even Tokyo, Joël Robuchon has now graced the capital of England. This fantastic French restaurant in the Soho district is elegant, expensive and the perfect example of a fine-dine eatery. With two dining rooms and a bar, acquiring a table here is easy on weekdays, but can be quiet a struggle on weekends. The red and black décor and the efficient waiters in crisp uniforms are enough to prove that this is not a tacky "fish & chips" place. Choosing from the colossal menu can be baffling sometimes, so take the guidance of the waiters, and watch the expert chefs as they whip up your orders in the open kitchen. Upstairs, the scene is a tad laid-back, so once you are satiated, you can head there for a couple of drinks. Carry enough dough, and do not dress too casually if you want to avoid embarrassment.
