Not quite a new dawning, but expect good Med food |
49 Lexington Street Soho London, London W1F 9AP +44 20 7494 0514 |
This Soho bistro is incredibly popular despite not having an alcohol licence. But then again, it does serve more than generous portions of fresh Mediterranean food in a comfortable set-up. Brass chandeliers add lustre to this snug, cosy, almost club-like venue, with wooden furniture and flooring, and sunny decor. But it's more the innate feel of the place that bestows Aurora with a special charm of its own. And with dishes like Jerusalem artichoke soup, chunky vegetable tagine, and incredibly indulgent chocky tart as well as the delicious cakes displayed at the counter, you'll be salivating well before you reach a table. There's also a small patio outside with half a dozen or so tables. Popular with the media set, the intimate and friendly atmosphere shines through. Review © 2009, Wcities |
