Home of the London Symphony Orchestra and part of the extensive multi-arts Barbican Centre, the Barbican Hall puts on classical concerts as well as an exciting range of contemporary, jazz and world music performances.

It's a large venue, with seats for just over 2,000 people, including 16 wheelchair spaces. Performance times vary, but most start at 7.30pm. Look out for free performances in the foyer area over bank holidays and festivals - these cover a multitude of musical and artistic styles and can happen at any time of day. There is also a bar and a great shop selling a wild selection of bargain-priced masks - not to mention an imaginative range of Shakespearean novelty items.
