Steak your place at a Scottish steakhouse |
215-217 Kensington Church Street London, London W8 7LX +44 20 7727 0004 |
This sleek new restaurant in Notting Hill gets straight to the steak with no preamble. Named after a pun on cooking steak, the meat comes from distinguished Scottish supplier, Donald Russell. His organically reared beef, matured on the bone for three weeks, is cooked to order by the chefs. A meat munchers paradise, the menu is a variation on a theme, it's steak, steak or steak. That's six, eight, 10 or 12 ounces. There are some salads and baguettes available, and a few vegetarian options, but if you're not into meat, then you'll have a hard time making more than one visit. The restaurant is best left to the real carnivores who'll enjoy watching the world go by as they chomp their way through steak and chips in the cosy booths. Review © 2009, Wcities |
