This private museum in Butlers Wharf - where the great tea clippers would unload their goods in colonial days - recounts the history of tea and coffee, with many interesting artefacts on display. The museum explores the history and tradition of these two highly significant beverages in the atmospheric surroundings of the Butlers Wharf tea warehouse. It looks at the reasons why tea and coffee became so popular in Britain and covers the circumstances surrounding the famous Boston Tea Party and the great clipper races of the 19th century. At the end of your visit, visit the cafe and sample a selection of ground coffee and exotic teas. Review © 2009, Wcities |
