Built in 1904, Bush Hall was originally established as a dance hall that publisher William F. Hurndall gave as a gift to one of his daughters. After many changes in function, a soup kitchen during WWII, a bingo hall in the 1950s and '60s, a gambling hall in the 1980s and '90s, Bush Hall reopened as a music venue in 2001, and has since hosted headliners such as R.E.M., Nick Cave, The Corrs, Amy Winehouse, and Damien Rice. This venue also hosts music festivals and private functions. Check their website for upcoming events and ticketing information. Review © 2009, Wcities |
