Owned by Kit and Tim Kemp, emperors of the equally deluxe and discreet Covent Garden Hotel, Dorset Square and the Pelham, the Charlotte Street Hotel subscribes to the same successful vibe of traditional subtlety and urban style. Converted from a warehouse, this contemporary, luxury boutique hotel just north of Soho combines the best of modern and period English decor - linen curtains, four-poster beds, dark wood chests, large writing desks, with modem ports, DVD and CD players, and cellular phone. The granite and oak bathrooms come with a small TV. Among the individually decorated rooms are four soaring loft-style suites and two open-plan penthouses with private lifts and stunning rooftop views.
