Chor Bizarre

Haute Indian cuisine in the heart of Mayfair

Winner of the Cobra Good Curry Guide "Best Northern Indian", for traditional dishes with a twist, smart ambience and weird decor, this Indian in the heart of Mayfair has no equal. All kinds of furniture and paraphernalia adorns the interior of Chor Bizarre (which translates as thieves market), with everything from the four-poster beds to the individually chosen tables and chairs selected for being the sort of thing found in a traditional Indian bizarre. The food seems similarly unfamiliar and intriguing, but actually remains true to its Kashmiri roots. Dishes, like the highly reccomended gazab ka tikka, follow age-old cooking methods, such as kakori kababs, wazwan (a huge feast) and tataktak (named after the sound made when chopping up meat). All in all, refreshingly bizarre.
