In the heart of Covent Garden |
43 Monmouth Street Covent Garden London, London WC2H 9DD +44 20 7836 5861 |
Built in the 18th century, The Crown is a good old-fashioned tavern where you can sit down and forget about the hustle and bustle of Covent Garden. It's next to the Seven Dials roundabout, and has remained virtually unchanged since it was constructed. Its 'olde worlde' feel makes it popular with tourists, and in the evening it gets packed out with a younger clientele preparing for a night out. A good range of ales are on offer, as well as the usual spirits and bottled drinks, and prices are average for central London. Homecooked fare is also available during the tavern's open hours.
