All performances at the Duchess Theatre are purely theatrical, so you won't be able to catch any musicals here. Joe Penhalls Blue/Orange - an analysis of medical ethics and racism in a psychiatric ward, as explored through the eyes of a young patient - is currently showing, and it looks like it could be here to stay for a while yet. The fairly modern building only seats 490 people, so early booking is advisable. If you need wheelchair access, it is possible, but the theatre is below street level and there are no lifts. There are two bars for getting a drink and a snack in the intervals. Review © 2009, Wcities |
