Upbeat and upmarket French cuisine |
48 Greek Street Soho London, London W1V 5LQ +44 20 7439 7474 |
This long-standing, stylish French venue in London's vibrant Soho district continues to enchant with finely judged combinations and first class ingredients. The restaurant is based on two levels, while the ground floor room is for livlier crowds, the Picasso Room above is for cosy and private affairs. Firmly rooted in the French kitchen, dishes such as fillet of sea bass with spinach, rosti and summer truffles, or the signature feuilleté of snails, button onions, lardons and morels, show that a creative muscle can be flexed when necessary. Service can be occasionally nonchalant, in a French shoulder-shrugging kind of way. Review © 2009, Wcities |
