During the London Bach Festival, Bach is performed in a period setting, using resources which would have been familiar to JS Bach himself. Both devotees and newcomers are made welcome at this friendly event. The London Bach Society dates from 1936, and it has been staging this annual event for 11 years now, with most years emphasising a particular period in the composer's life. This festival forms the centrepiece of the London Bach Society's drive to fulfil its mission of bringing Bach, live, to the public. Review © 2007, Wcities |

This event, usually at the end of May each year, has now been in existence for well over 20 years. One of London's first holistic events, it's still going strong with a wide range of stalls, workshops, talks and demonstrations. Whether you want to know more about different kinds of yoga, which vitamins you should be taking, how to meditate and the basis of crystals or feng shui, you'll be able to find it all under this one roof. Monthly flower shows |
80 Vincent Square Royal Horticultural Society Halls London, London SW1P 2PE United Kingdom +44 20 7281 3408 http://www.rhs.org.uk info@rhs.org.uk |
These monthly two-day flower shows are well attended by those in the horticultural community, all hoping to leave with a coveted Gold Medal for their displays. The exhibitors come from all over the UK and transform the spacious halls into a stunning riot of colour and smell. The flowers always reflect the season, so winter displays will include snowdrops, crocuses and other seasonal blooms and foliage. Plants are for sale during the show. Review © 2007, Wcities |
