Ignore the front of this Latino bar-club-restaurant, which makes it look like a maritime themed bar, and step into the dimly lit, zebra print covered cavern that is Havana. The club offers a very varied mix of nights for Latin lovers and live DJs and Cuban bands play regularly, though its best to call for details of what's on when, as club nights change frequently. Drinks are expensive, but you can buy spirits by the bottle and if you don't finish the lot, they'll write your name on it and save it for next time. Dancing here is an absolute must, and classes are offered several times a week. Like its sister restaurant (17 Hanover Square), Havana serves up vaguely Cuban fare. Review © 2009, Wcities |
