Given its location in Covent Garden Piazza, you'd be forgiven for expecting The Gardening Club to be an over-priced, mediocre, mainstream tourist trap. The reality is far from it - fun, up for a laugh clubbers gather here for a chilled out evening amongst some of the most random decor you'll ever see. Bus seats, exposed brick walls, and the cavernous feel that comes from being in such a tiny venue all make it a very interesting place to be. The Gardening Club and The Rock Garden are not the same club, but they often join up so that you can go into two rooms of music. Friday's are fun and funky with Dolly Mixture, and Saturdays are a blend of house, disco and funk. Review © 2009, Wcities |
