Many of the colleges that make up the University of London are able to offer accommodation for visitors to the capital, and Imperial College is probably the best place to make your first enquiries. The advantage of using college accommodation is that the Halls of Residence are often in prime locations (South Kensington, Notting Hill and, in Imperial's case, Knightsbridge), and offer basic rooms at affordable prices. Rooms are generally comfortable, but are definitely not luxurious, and the service is as you would expect from a cheaper hotel in the capital. Guests staying in halls have all of the college's sports facilities at their disposal, including a 25m swimming pool and whirlpool in South Kensington. Review © 2009, Wcities |
