The Queen's House was built from 1616-1617 for Anne of Denmark by Inigo Jones, the first to bring Renaissance architecture to England. It is one of the most important buildings in architectural history because it was the first English building to consciously be built in a classical style. While the house has gone through a number of restorations, it is now part of the National Maritime Museum. Home to a number of maritime portraits, admission to the house is free.
