The spacious Isis restaurant at Mayfair is named after a powerful and mystical Egyptian deity, said to be the "Queen of the Gods". The delicacies here, prepared under the careful eye of chef Abo Mahmoud include Aubergine Fatoush and boneless chicken. The drinks list, which includes exotic cocktails like Ali Baba and Diaz, is only one of the reasons why the mood here is so festive. The other reasons are the belly dancers and the happy-go-lucky tourists and immigrants from the Middle East, comfortably seated on the cushions, besides the Moroccan lamps and the candle-lit entrance.
