Originally constructed as a Saxon settlement, the current building and gardens on the Knebworth property is the result of heavy renovation and re-imaginings throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries. Part Gothic, part Edwardian, Knebworth House has been featured in many films and television shows, including Jane Eyre, Wilde, and served as Wayne Manor in Tim Burton's Batman. The grounds have hosted many events throughout their long history, including numerous rock concerts, auto shows, Medieval jousting tournaments, and theatrical performances. Check their website for a full list of upcoming events. Admission to the house and grounds is £9.00 for adults and £8.50 for children and seniors. All house tours are guided except on busy weekends.
